Our work yesterday was at Fornello, a 12th-century cave church, where our job was to carefully scrape the salt deposits from the ancient frescoes. We were working so close-up that one of my colleagues had to point out to me that I had uncovered a painting of a bird!
I was pleased to make progress on the tiny patch of wall I was working on. Tonio tells us that at the current rate of summer volunteer groups in his Messors programs, the work should take 40 years to complete.
You made a bird on your fresco, and now you found a bird!!! the universe is speaking to you.
